Sometime after noon my family had had enough of me ruining their laid-back saturday fun so insisted I “go for my walk.” Thank goodness, even I was getting sick of clucking around the house tidying things that I knew would be a mess again in half an hour. Anyway, they think that post-walk I am a much more congenial person to live with. They may have a point.
As time was a bit of an issue, this weekend’s wander was another local one – this time in the opposite direction of last weekend’s towards a sweet village called Finstersee. This round-route has all the loveliness to be found around here, but its real draw is its peacefulness. In fact, the highlight of the whole wander was a half-hour sitting on a lonely bench watching kites (as in, birds of prey) swoop, feeling the cool wind play with my hair, and thinking of nothing in particular. I hope the photos convey a little of this serenity. I also hope I can find something from it to translate into paint.
Oh, by the way, Happy Mothers day! I hope you mothers out there also get a little spot of good, replenishing serenity in your weekend too.
